On July 6, Johnson & Johnson will host an exclusive scientific symposium, showcasing groundbreaking advancements in lung cancer and our ongoing partnerships with some of the brightest minds in the industry.

This event will feature a keynote presentation and a panel discussion with J&J oncology leaders and guests, followed by an interactive Q&A and networking reception.

- Lung cancer (small cell and non-small cell, including squamous and adenocarcinoma)
- Head and neck cancers
- Bladder, prostate, or hematologic malignancies
- Interventional oncology solutions, including controlled release, localized depot drug delivery, and integrated platforms for delivering, monitoring, and confirming intra-tumoral therapies
Selected applicants will be invited to present their projects directly to Johnson & Johnson’s Oncology Leaders.

Dr. Bauml is the Lung/H&N Cancer Disease Area Stronghold Leader at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. As the Lung/H&N Cancer DAS leader, Dr. Bauml is responsible forend-to-end Lung/H&N Cancer Development including mature assets (Rybrevant and Lazertinib) as well as identifying new assets in early development and/or partnerships.
He received his undergraduate from Tufts University, Boston and completed his residency and earned his MD at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai. He completed his fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. After his fellowship, Dr. Bauml was a faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania for 8 years, treating patients with lung and H&N cancers.
Dozie leads Oncology External Innovation activities for Johnson & Johnson in West North America, driving strategic partnerships, technical due diligences, and championing equity investments to advance the Oncology portfolio. He has spearheaded collaborations and numerous evaluations, shaping transformational research and development initiatives.
Previously, Dozie headed Johnson & Johnson Innovation JLABS in Canada, supporting over 100 life science start-ups at one of the country’s largest life science incubators. His leadership spans internal and external ecosystems, complemented by advisory roles with the University of Michigan’s MTRAC program and Creative Destruction Labs.
He serves on the boards of the Society of Toxicology and other not for profit life science organizations and has advised government bodies in Canada and Nigeria on Science and Innovation. As a scientist, Dozie has also contributed to the development of multiple Oncology products, including Tecvayli, Talvey, Rybrevant and others.
He has authored 10 book chapters, 24 peer-reviewed articles and numerous meeting abstracts. Dozie holds a dual Ph.D. in Comparative Medicine and Integrative Toxicological Sciences from Michigan State University, where he also completed a Veterinary Pathology residency. He earned his D.V.M. from the University of Nigeria and is board-certified in both Toxicology and Veterinary Pathology.
