Dr. Bauml is the Lung/H&N Cancer Disease Area Stronghold Leader at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. As the Lung/H&N Cancer DAS leader, Dr. Bauml is responsible forend-to-end Lung/H&N Cancer Development including mature assets (Rybrevant and Lazertinib) as well as identifying new assets in early development and/or partnerships.
He received his undergraduate from Tufts University, Boston and completed his residency and earned his MD at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai. He completed his fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. After his fellowship, Dr. Bauml was a faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania for 8 years, treating patients with lung and H&N cancers.
Alice Ly serves as a Vice President on Alexandria’s Life Science team, where she oversees Alexandria Venture Investments’ portfolio, supports the tenant portfolio, convenes ecosystem-building initiatives and community events across the Pacific Northwest, and leads Alexandria LaunchLabs – Seattle, partnering with entrepreneurs to support early-stage company creation. Previously, Alice led the Life Science vertical at the Harvard Innovation Labs. She holds a Ph.D. in Neurobiology from Yale University.
Dr. Allison Rhines is a Senior Director of Oncology External Innovation, where her focus is on the evaluation of external assets for partnership and investment. Dr. Rhines has served in multiple innovation-focused roles at J&J, including most recently as Head of the Houston JLABS, where she had portfolio responsibility for attracting and retaining scientific-aligned companies in JLABS, as well as supporting the broader ecosystem through external presence and partnerships. Prior to this, she served as an Early Innovation Partner at the Johnson & Johnson West North America Innovation Center in San Francisco.

Prior to re-joining J&J, Allison served as a Program Officer in the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s early innovation group, now known as the Gates Biotech Accelerator. There, she led the Foundation’s COVID-19 Transmission Biology portfolio, the portfolio of investments focused on the basic transmission biology of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, for two years during the COVID-19 pandemic. Allison previously held a range of operating and investing roles in the venture-backed startup space, with focus areas including oncology, infectious disease, and AI-assisted therapeutics discovery platforms.

Dr. Rhines completed her postdoctoral fellowship at J&J. She holds an PhD in Biology and BA from Stanford, an MBA from INSEAD in Singapore and an MPhil from the University of Cambridge in the UK.
Dozie leads Oncology External Innovation activities for Johnson & Johnson in West North America, driving strategic partnerships, technical due diligences, and championing equity investments to advance the Oncology portfolio. He has spearheaded collaborations and numerous evaluations, shaping transformational research and development initiatives.
Previously, Dozie headed Johnson & Johnson Innovation JLABS in Canada, supporting over 100 life science start-ups at one of the country’s largest life science incubators. His leadership spans internal and external ecosystems, complemented by advisory roles with the University of Michigan’s MTRAC program and Creative Destruction Labs.
He serves on the boards of the Society of Toxicology and other not for profit life science organizations and has advised government bodies in Canada and Nigeria on Science and Innovation. As a scientist, Dozie has also contributed to the development of multiple Oncology products, including Tecvayli, Talvey, Rybrevant and others.
He has authored 10 book chapters, 24 peer-reviewed articles and numerous meeting abstracts. Dozie holds a dual Ph.D. in Comparative Medicine and Integrative Toxicological Sciences from Michigan State University, where he also completed a Veterinary Pathology residency. He earned his D.V.M. from the University of Nigeria and is board-certified in both Toxicology and Veterinary Pathology.
Aaron Foster, Ph.D. is the Chief Scientific Officer at Outpace Bio, a Seattle-based clinical-stage biotechnology company solving durable efficacy, safety, and scalability for cancer cell therapy. He has over three decades of drug development expertise and a record of leading research teams to advance engineered cell therapies from their initial discovery phase into clinical trials. At Outpace, Dr. Foster spearheaded the development of the organization's ex vivo cell therapy pipeline: incorporating cutting-edge protein design and gene engineering technologies that significantly improve the cells' expansion, persistence and overall therapeutic efficacy. In addition, Dr. Foster is advancing the OUTDRIVE™ in vivo CAR-T platform. Prior to joining Outpace, Dr. Foster held research leadership roles at Sana Biotechnology and Bellicum Pharmaceuticals. He was also a faculty member at Baylor College of Medicine, within the Center for Cell and Gene Therapy.
